Plate Two: Using Acrylic Paint. |
Plate two's instructions was to paint a piece of an object using complementary colors(acrylic paint). In my bag I had a notebook with the yin and yang print, so I used this as my object. using the complementary colors red and green I painted a piece of the yin and yang symbol. A piece which was significant enough so that the person looking at this plate would not miss the fact that this was the yin and yang symbol. As I painted, I tried to set in a meaning for it. By the end of it I came up with the " the balance of war and peace". Red signified the war and green was my peace, the symbol alone already meant "a balance".
